ENJOY ALL DAY COMFORT All new cab is spacious, quiet and comfortable with all around 360°
visibility to keep you productive throughout the day. Seat-mounted controls feature a multifunction joystick for lift and tilt functions with an integrated thumb operated speed range, forward/neutral/reverse (FNR) switch, trigger operated differential lock and constant flow. Optional fourth function joystick also available. Digital display with soft touch buttons for customized settings to easily control linkage and drive train to further enhance operator comfort and safety.
EFFICIENTLY POWERFUL Cat C2.8 engine provides a cleaner, quieter operation while delivering
superior performance and durability through a high torque, low speed design. Caterpillar’s exclusive Intelligent Power Management system monitors operator input and available power to keep the machine working at peak efficiency. “Shift on the go” locking differentials and hydrostatic transmission provide smooth and powerful operation while increasing the efficiency of machine cycles. New Powertrain (Utility) Mode via the display enables right pedal machine operation giving further improved operator controllability of attachment RPM versus machine ground speed over creep control and inching pedal.
operation of hydro-mechanical attachments with a state of the art pressure compensated electro-hydraulic system. Optimized Z-bar linkage for great performance and versatility with buckets that now have the DNA of the larger Cat loaders, such as curved side plates and a flat torque tube for parallel reference to the cutting edge.
CUSTOMIZE YOUR EXPERIENCE Work as one with your machine by customizing the controls.
Operator can adjust machine responsiveness with the push of a button based on the attachment or application. Once customized, settings can be locked with “simplified mode” to ensure the machine is consistent and intuitive for every user. Machine security is enhanced with a standard keycode or optional Bluetooth® technology.

Engine
Features and Technology
• The Cat® C2.8 engine meets U.S. EPA Tier 4 Final and EU Stage V emission standards. • Cat diesel engines are required to use ULSD (ultra-low sulfur diesel fuel with 15 ppm of sulfur or less) or ULSD blended with the following lower-carbon intensity fuels up to: 20% biodiesel FAME (fatty acid methyl ester) 100% renewable diesel, HVO (hydrotreated vegetable oil) and GTL (gas-to-liquid) fuels Refer to guidelines for successful application. Please consult your Cat dealer or “Caterpillar Machine Fluids Recommendations” (SEBU6250) for details.
• The following features and technology may contribute to fuel savings and/or carbon reduction. Features may vary. Consult your Cat dealer for details. – Engine Idle Hibernate Mode – Engine Idle Shutdown – Advanced Electro Hydraulics – Efficient HVAC – Engine Demand Fan – Aftertreatment Low Idle Regeneration Strategy – Hydrostatic Transmission – Shift On the Go Transmission – Remote Flash and Remote Troubleshoot – Long Life Structural Durability
Air Conditioning System • The air conditioning system on this machine contains the fluorinated greenhouse gas refrigerant R134a (Global Warming Potential = 1430). The system contains 0.83 kg (1.8 lb) of refrigerant which has a CO2 equivalent of 1.216 metric tonnes (1.34 tons).
Recycling • The materials included in machines are categorized as below with approximate weight percentage. Because of variations of product configurations, the following values in the table may vary.
Paint
Material Type Weight Percentage Steel 60.35% Iron 16.88% Nonferrous Metal 3.48% Mixed Metal 1.05% Mixed-Metal and Nonmetal 0.91% Plastic 2.24% Rubber 4.25% Mixed Nonmetallic 0.04% Fluid 3.35% Other 3.72% Uncategorized 3.71% Total 100.00% • A machine with higher recyclability rate will ensure more efficient usage of valuable natural resources and enhance End-of-Life value of the product. According to ISO 16714 (Earthmoving machinery – Recyclability and recoverability – Terminology and calculation method), recyclability rate is defined as percentage by mass (mass fraction in percent) of the new machine potentially able to be recycled, reused, or both. All parts in the bill of material are first evaluated by component type based on a list of components defined by the ISO 16714 and Japan CEMA (Construction Equipment Manufacturers Association) standards. Remaining parts are further evaluated for recyclability based on material type. Because of variations of product configurations, the following value in the table may vary. Recyclability – 93%
• Based on best available knowledge, the maximum allowable concentration, measured in parts per million (PPM), of the following heavy metals in paint are: – Barium < 0.01% – Cadmium < 0.01% – Chromium < 0.01% – Lead < 0.01%
Sound Performance With cooling fan speed at maximum value: Operator Sound Pressure Level (ISO 6396:2008) – 71 dB(A)* Exterior Sound Power Level (ISO 6395:2008) – 101 dB(A)** Exterior Sound Pressure Level (SAE J88:2013) – 99 dB(A)** *Measurements were conducted with properly installed and maintained cab doors and windows closed. **The labeled sound power level for the CE and UK marked configurations when measured according to the test procedure and conditions specified in 2000/14/EC and UK Noise Regulation 2001 No. 1701.
Oils and Fluids • Caterpillar factory fills with ethylene glycol coolants. Cat Diesel Engine Antifreeze/Coolant (DEAC) and Cat Extended Life Coolant (ELC) can be recycled. Consult your Cat dealer for more information. • Cat Bio HYDO Advanced is an EU Ecolabel approved biodegradable hydraulic oil. • Additional fluids are likely to be present, please consult the Operations and Maintenance Manual or the Application and Installation guide for complete fluid recommendations and maintenance intervals.

Standard equipment
Optional equipment
CHARACTERISTICS Ergonomics → Spacious driver’s cab and ergonomic seat ensure fatigue-free working → Optimum view of both the load and surroundings → Layout of control elements reduces the physical strain on the driver → Separation of the workstation, mast, and drive and steering axles reduces physical strain on the driver, including on uneven surfaces
Driver workplace
Handling → The twin-motor front-wheel drive together with combi steering axle provides exceptional maneuverability → Overhead tilt cylinder and warp-resistant mast design ensure safe load handling → Synchronous reluctance motor for lift and drive function increases power and energy efficiency → A choice between lead-acid, lithium-ion battery, or fuel cell energy-storage systems → Wireless access to driver data allows data analysis and connection to logistic, safety, and fleet management systems Linde combi steering axle
Safety → Chassis, A-pillar, mast, and roof construction provide the driver with optimum visibility of the load and surroundings → The truck’s low center of gravity reduces the risk of tipping → Linde Curve Assist reduces speed in relation to the steering angle when cornering → Linde Load Assist reduces the risk of tipping accidents when moving loads at height → Automatic parking brake inclusive hill-hold function
All-round visibility
Service → Long service intervals e.g. 6000 h / 3 years hydraulic oil / filter change → Easy access to main components → Driver display shows all important truck information to the driver → Remote fault diagnosis and firmware updates can be conducted without a service technician, in turn saving costs → Truck Health Monitoring enables comprehensive fault monitoring and faster fault localization wear and damage is identified early thus increasing truck availability → Modular assemblies allow for quick replacement, shortening downtime during repairs Easy service access
