Letter of Support EU Mission 100 Climate Neutra! and Smart Cities

Dear Sir/Madam, The Dutch authorities support the goals and ambitions of the EU Mission on Climate Neutra! and Smart Cities. This mission will contribute to reaching a 55 percent CO2 reduction by 2030 and climate neutrality by 2050 by realizing "100 Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities by 2030". The 100 cities that are selected by the Commission wilt Buide the way towards a climate neutra! European Union as they set the goal for climate neutrality in 2030. Those cities will be able to share their experiences and knowledge with others. Consequently, this mission contributes to the goals of our national climate policies as set out in the Dutch Climate Agreement. Therefore, the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations would like to express support to the Dutch cities that indicate their interest in this mission. We are committed to help the selected Dutch municipalities with the further development of their plans towards climate neutrality and the Climate City Contract, where possible through our national policies and instruments.
