College - Fundraising Damen

On February 6th more than 30,000 people lost their lives and many more were injured when two strong earthquakes struck Turkey and Syria. Nearly 110,00 km2 of land and 13.5 million people have been affected and the devastation continues to have an impact on peoples’ lives. Homes, businesses, and crucial infrastructure have been completely destroyed, and families have been torn apart. Like many, Damen Yachting is acutely aware that people affected by this disaster need urgent help. This is why we have set up the Turkey and Syria Earthquake Aid Fund Campaign.

How Your Donation Will Be used Donations that we are raising are helping to provide support in a number of ways. Thanks to the support our campaign has already received, we have set up up a catering service to provide much needed food and drink to victims of this terrible disaster. More work is needed, however. With future donations, we hope to help provide shelter for those who have been made homeless and to tackle arising hygiene challenges in the region.
