I write this message because I live in a street, the Eerste Boerhaavestraat, which I think is becoming unlivable. The residents of this street are enduring constant noise from the building of the Conradhuis of the HvA and the detour of scooters and bikes that the construction has created. Our street also hosts a student house at xx, its inhabitants are generating lots of littering and noise, and not respecting any common duty of cohabitation. To add to this, there is a Q-park that increases traffic and not one single tree on the street. This street welcomes many families with small children, and it now unsafe for them to play close to home. Not to mention that the street looks ugly and dirty to everyone passing by. I have been trying to contact so many parties involved to improve our situation. The HvA, the students house managers, xxxxx from the gemeente. I received no consideration whatsoever. I am angered that a city that prides itself for being human and green completely neglects certain areas. Millions are going into the renovation of the Weesperzijde, but we are just around the corner and nobody cares. I hope this time we could start a conversation on possible improvements for our street.
